    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an independent specialist in Bristol who can do repairs and services?

Just returned from 2 week hols to find my A4 Avant has a fault, the engine turns over but cuts out straight away (like the immobiliser) and the dash board is not lighting up apart from the symbols.

    80k Service is also due!!

    cheers

I've came across a few cases like this: it seems that a period of
cold and damp can do something to the immobiliser system, connections
or wiring. Sometimes warming the car-up with a small blow-heater for a couple
    of hours works.

I've just spoken to one called All Audi, they're in brislington and they say they can do all programming work and a service is 150. He mentioned cam belts but i think he was just saying that a cam belt change costs more. They sounded very helpful though, give them a try

I have heard good things about streetwise automotive, some of the lads on the TT forum site also recommend them.
