Just bought a new Passat CC in black with cream and black interior - it a nice looking car and with the new common rail engine goes well. Spent two weeks in France and routinely got 60mpg........has anyone got any views or questions?

I have to say they are very nice cars. I sat in one when I was down at my dealer about a month ago and it was a step up from the normal Passat. It was in a completely different class. I wish I could afford one now you are making me jealous But, I wish you all the best with it!!

I hadn't seen one in the metal until I went back to the dealers after ordering my Passat Estate. If I'd seen one before I may well have been tempted - lovely looking car.

Having said that I'm very pleased with the Passat Estate (my third) and to be honest it suits my needs better. Gone for the 2.0 TDI 140 Sport with the DSG gearbox this time.

Interested in what you say about the CR engine. It goes well enough but doesn't seem to feel as quick as my last one with a manual gearbox. Read somewhere (on here I think) that the new engine's power delivery is different i.e. more linear. It also supposed to be more refined but I'm not sure about that. Rev it a bit (I'm not talking high revs) and it sounds rather thrashy to me, more than the old engine?

Have to confess to not liking the shape at first, it looked a bit too radical for a VW. But having since seen one and sat in it at the dealers, its really grown on me. It looks like it's from a class above (a bit of Merc here and there) which is nice. I would definately consider one if I was lucky enough!

One question though, why's it called the 'CC' - that's normally associated with Coupe Cabriolets?

Had my 55 plate 2.0 TDI 140 Sport in for it's first MOT today, and the dealer lent me a new Passat CC 2.0TDI 140CR for the day. What a brilliant car. It was their new demo so was loaded with full leather, sat nav, parking sensors, mulitfunction wheel, telephone prep, electric sunroof etc. Interestingly the MFD had a setting which kept the auto hold function on all the time if that's what you want, no pressing the button every morning. I reluctantly handed it back at the end of the day, my current Passat Sport now feeling somewhat dated and slightly dull suddenly. The 140CR seemed quieter and smoother, and was deceptively rapid as a result. Hopefully this car will be on my list of new cars to choose from at the end of this month.

    Hello
can any of you CC owners tell me if the side curtain air bags on the CC are full side air bags or just for the the front passengers,i know front passengers also get the head protection air bags that are built into the seats and that you can order the same for rear occupants.I'm looking to purchase a CC GT early next year and one of my requirements are side curtain air bags for the rear as i have an 18 month old who will be in a child seat in the back.
