Philips X-Treme Power bulbs

Last car I had them fitted to lasted for 1.5 years until Audi West London decided to replace them for no reason other than to charge some money to my lease company, saying they were blown and were replaced back with the standard ones- bloody scam merchants!

I have been thinking about this upgrade for ages and now, finally, my order is place!

Will let you know what I think to them and the free sidelights once I have got them her and fitted.

Thats a useful site thanks. My X-treme Powers have arrived along with the free BlueVisions but I won't have time till next week during the christmas break to fit them. Once I have I will try to post some pics or something.

That is really interesting news.
I only phone up Audi yesterday to say that I thought the standard dipped lights at night were awful and you had to strain your eyes more than normal to see ahead.
Are you telling me that the ones on the website wil make it brighter and will improve the visibilty of the road at night? Please advsie asap and if anyone has these on already? Many thanks. M

Yep spot on- the Xtreme Power bulbs run at an extra 80% light and the light is much whiter and easier on the eye.

Having had just got them again in my new car- I really wish I had done so earlier.

A worthwhile upgrade if you don't want to go the whole HID route.

Now being a learner in this game, once I have bought my new bright lights what about the side lights? Do I need to replace them too or do you leave them alone?

ALSO does anyone here have the Halogen looks lights without HID? Just wondering what to go for, either the phillips 80% brighter ones or the blue/halogen look?

If you get them from Powerbulbs you will get the Philips
BlueVision sidebulbs free, so I would install these too as they look much better than the normal yellow sidelights.

Hi all,

Recently also placed an order and got me a pair of the X-Treme Bulbs too (ive just fitted these this afternoon but have yet to try them out on the road).

Question though - i also got the free BlueVision side bulbs but i couldn't figure out how the bulb comes out of the housing. Does anyone know how it removes ?
