    Hi All,

    I have a VW MK4 Golf 1.9 tdi 90 bhp 1999.

Recently the GLOW PLUG WARNING LIGHT came on with the message ENGINE WORKSHOP, one night the car completly would not start. i thought it was the glow plugs, so i went to halfords and brought a new set and put them in, but the car still would not start. In the end i had to jump start the car and it finally started, but the warning light and message was still on! I was told it could be the glow plug relay, so i checked that but it seemed to be working because it was clicking! Now i have no idea what to do! The display is sometimes dull, making me think its the battery?

I need help!! Has anybody gor any suggestions?
