Hi all im new to the forums but have recieved some sound advice and am going to be greedy and ask for more!

I live in aberdeen and i am finding it exremely difficult to find a garage i can trust not to bs me.

My idea is that you put i your location and then the best-worst garage youve delt with and why, if theres anyone form aberdeen that has a good garage or mechanic LET ME KNOW please!.

Anyone else post here and that will help other new drivers like me to sift through the crap and will help us to make an informed decision, at least so we know who might be good, afterall i dont expect anyone to take responabilty for the garage at the end of the day.

I think its worth noting that i wouldnt bother putting Kwikfit here as i have delt with them 3 times and wish i had crashed into the garage rather than drive into it.

Might be worth a sticky when done just a thought .

    Kev

worst - Alexander garages (my own opinion), tend to identify faults and repair sensors but not fix the fault you sent the car in for.... £150 lighter and i sorted the problem myself.

best - my brothers (biased perhaps) colin appleyard suzuki ashton under lyne - always fixes the fault, top notch service and they look after you. not bad rates of labour either for a 'main' dealer. although for more specific vw faults, i research myself and fix with the aid of my brother... its a delightful partnership

just a suggestion.... i think everyone should try to either give birth to or adopt a child to train as a family mechanic, they are invaluable nowadays!
