    went this morning unlocked the car to put my son into the back and the door would not open,tried all the other doors and they are fine. got it booked into the dealers on sat morning,any body else had a similar problem ?. 58 plate a4 sline

    Do you have the child lock set on this door? ie so they wont open from the inside?

    Mine did this after I set the child lock, turned out that the little dial that you use to set the lock was inbetween the on/off setting for the child lock. Something had made it move and it didnt open correctly. I reset it and it was fine after that.

    I guess the problem you have is that the door will not open at all whereas mine did after a few goes on the key fob. Would it be worth setting the MMI just to lock/unlock the drivers door, do that then set the MMI to then control the other doors again. Might just reset everything.

    Hi ive tried resetting the locking on the mmi but still no joy with the 1 door it will still not open , i wonder if the child lock dial has moved in between lock and unlock,never mind dealers the tomorrow. fingers crossed they will sort it

    well ive had my car to the dealers this morning about my door,the technician had a look he reckons cable inside has worked loose on the mech,so they are going to order a new door card in ,with the child lock been on its the only way they can get in is through the door card,
