    Hi folks, straight forward question,

    I have the free version of vag com - will I be able to set the commenement of injection with the free version after replacing the cam belt?

    I am thinking of doing the job myself over xmas but want to do it properly.

    Mine is a 2000 bora 1.9tdi 90hp AGR

    Sorry but it won’t, you have to enter Basic Settings 04 and that isn’t available on the shareware version.

    Okay, I thought that might be the case. How much would it cost for the version which has the basic settings 04 enabled?

    There is someone here on the forum selling a genuine Ross Tech interface wich is fully registered and will act as a dongle when plugged into a new laptop. Check the items in the "for sale" section. A bargain for 80 quid !

    No doubt a good buy for £80 but you lose the Ross-Tech technical support as it is non transferable so the $99 may be a better route.

    If you buy second hand, the license is not transferable. For support you must still buy a license from Ross-Tech for $99.
