Hello, first post here. Looks like a good forum

I just got my 58 plate Golf GT Sport, and it has the 'MP3' logo on the stereo unit. It is the standard unit that came with the car.

All I want to do is to be able to read the track/song title but I can't get it to do that. I burn my own CD's in case the car is broken into and the discs get nicked, so perhaps it's something to do with that?

In the book, it talks about 'ID Tags' must be present to enable track names to show up, but to be honest I don't understand all that, and other cars I've driven show the track names no problem at all.

It's only a little niggle, but frustrating nonetheless. If anyone has any suggestions I'd welcome them

    Thanks for reading!

Burn them as MP3 CD's rather than just copies of normal audio CD's. Any half decent ripping program like Windows Media Player will go look at the Internet and tag the files up for you. The tags will then read on the radio display when played.

You also get about 10 times as much music on a CD that way.

If all this sounds too complicaed it might be a good idea to buy yourself a couple of PC magazines and there's usually plenty of advice in there month by month.
