My ex demo came as standard and I'd like to add a couple of things, if at all possible, and this is one. Big job? Impossible?

Possible but very involved and extremely costly. The lights alone are £500 a pair,

I emailed Audi customer service about this, who told me it is a factory build only option - but that may just be the official line. However it is applicable to all their customers that they've annoyed by making this popular option available individually "just weeks" after Avant SE launch.

It is nothing new, in 1979 we bought a Fiesta 1300S and were told that it was “THE” best model and nothing else better was coming in the foreseeable future, a week after it arrived Ford put the “Supersport” on sale, I was not happy-this sort of shenanigans is nothing new, the salesman wanted to close the deal to make his sales figures that month-human nature…

Its all ways the same tho with new cars, those of us lucky enough to get one first get on the list first and the first cars from the factory. This is followed by different spec packs, a reduction in cost, basic spec coming with the things you paid extra for a few months ago., better deals from the dealer ..... I like my technology and its the same with that, you pay to be an early adopter, knowing the product is not perfect and will be cheaper and come with more things in the near future.
