    Hi all,
I've just had a new heater matrix fitted (by my brother-in-law) and since its all gone back together, the airbag light is permanantly illuminated and I get a warning sound with message saying airbag fault, after about 4 mins after start-up.
Does anyone know if this is something I could easily clear ? or if it needs to go to the ******* ?
Also, I'd be grateful for info about how to reset the service light and which is the correct coolant for the car.
    Thanks,
    Russ

Woo calm down, if you write like this you're going to annoy everyone.

You need to a get a fault code read, then clear the airbag fault.
Nothing to see here, move along..

Thanks for the most helpful reply...

seriously, anyone who would be annoyed by reading text which I consider clear and easy to read, would be a pretty petty person. Its not in caps, just easy to read (maybe your eyes are perfect, but not everyone's is)
My original post is polite, and with gratitude...

50Pence, a dealer would definately charge you for this but I don't know how much.
A lot of people own vagcom's for diagnostics, you can but them from fleabay.
I did see a thread on here somewhere, in which posters offer to help you diagnose faults for the cost of a case of beer.... bargain !
You would just have to see if there is anyone in your area. I thing I stumbled onto the thread by searching 'vagcom'
    Hope this helps,
    Russ

You can, and they do, a lot.

2 options, try an independant garage (cheaper) or see if anyone on here can help you with their copy of VAG-COM for a few beers (cheapest).

    Where are you?

    Russ,

It's just that in relation to the rest of the text on the page, it's a lot larger and in red, it looks as if you're shouting at the rest of us. You're reply to 50 pence is a lot easier on the eye.....

I'm not trying to have a go, just to let you know what winds people up on the forum, just trying to impart some friendly advice.

    Regards,

    Hex

    Ok Hex,
I'm not here to wind anyone up.... but come on, its all a bit silly isn't it ?

And just how is my writing style any more or less offensive than say, some of the large images that people have at the end of each of their posts ?
If my tone is polite, I don't understand how anyone could take the hump. I mean, my vision is fine, but I am supposed to wear glasses to read, I genuinly believe its no problem to use a writing style 1 size larger and in a colour easy to see, so that others who are less able to read can see without bother (they do exist)
Why are people not more concerned when people have pics on their posts like euroslap ? (a silly outdated stereotypical view that all scousers have moustaches and perms) I don't have a problem with that myself, but can argue a point that it is more likely to cause offence than my post... which I repeat, was polite !

    Russ
