Been a while since I last posted anything on here - car (A4 1.8t Sport Avant) been running fine but now has developed a prob with speedo & fuel gauge. Basically the speedo works fine sometimes, then after a while and if you give it loads of revs, it starts flickering 'in time' with the revs - and goes up and down - sometimes right round to 160mph on the dial! Then is stops working altogether and sits at 0. The fuel gauge has started to register the tank as almost empty too, even though there is fuel in it, and then starts flickering a bit too, even when the car is still. Water temp registering 90 degrees and seems to be fine. Oil temp registers 100 degrees when warm (is that about right? Seems a bit high?)

    Are these related?

    Anyone got any ideas?

Do I need to change the whole dash pod? The trip computer screen is very faded so was considering this anyway (when cold when it works fine - have tried to fix it but no luck) - though is v expensive...

    Thanks in advance!
