    Default Vw 1.9tdi – 18-11-2008,10:06 PM
    I have a Toran 1.9 TDi which has never let me down and really pleased with it, however I am starting to get a little concerned as I know at least 5 people that have got past 60k and then there engines blow and its starting to concern me the most recent was my colleges 1.9TDi Octavia admittedly his has got 140k on it but all the others where just outside their warranties, does anyone know of any underling problems with the 1.9TDi and is there anything to watch out for as I cant afford the £3,500.00 potential bill.

    never heard that one 60k basically cam belt & pulleys should have been done if not asap...iv had a few now not the touran but the engine in question other than water problems or cam belt they are bullet proof..
