Hi all, my first post here. Been looking for a UK based VW forum for while.

I've just placed my order for our 2nd MK V Golf.

We've gone for the Golf GT 2.0ltr TDI [170Ps] and should be able to collect it some time during the first week of March (nice new 07 plate)

And we had the i-pod in arm rest option.

    Now my question....

What control do you have over the i-pod and can you see track info on lcd screen of dash mounted cd/radio head?

    hello and welcome the forum!

if the golf is fitted with ipod control, you should have full function control over the ipod, as well as full display on the LCD as you describe. if its just working on an auxillary input though, itll just play through your stereo and youll have to control your tracks etc through the ipod.

i would have thought the first was applicable though, wouldnt make sense to have it fitted otherwise

    Thanks for that reply.

Does anyone here on the forum have or has had this option fitted to their MK V golf?

Just to confirm that I have'nt waste £250 of my hard earned monies on something that is no good.
