Going to put the old plugs back in to check thats def what the problem is then pop into the audi dealer, but if anyone knows.....

    Cheers,
    Chris

did you gap the plugs,or just assume that the gap would be correct as they came?
sure you haven't pulled a lead off somewhere?

Assumed the plugs would be correct as they came - looked exactly the same, so wasn't expecting any problems.

Cleaned the old plugs this morning and put them back in and everything is right with the world again... and also (in proper daylight) got the model number of the old plugs (PFR60) so off to get some more.

As the car was 'deed' last night I was expecting the baby to decide that was the ebst time to come, thankfully he's a good lad and stayed put.

The football looked unlucky for your lot Stewy... Bramble scoring???

chris, you are being kind there, thanks, but they were booed off at half time.
you can't win a match by only playing one half.
how they can sleep at night after picking up such stupid wages, for doing nowt, absolutely nowt,is beyond me.
they got what they deserved, no arguement about that.
they deserve to be where they are,and how 50k can turn up every time to watch them, well, yes they are very lucky there.
just got to feel for the die hards, forking out all that money for season tickets, on the strength of nothing more than promises.
they truly are the salt of the earth.
are you sure you can't just adjust the gap on the new plugs you put in?
it could make a world of difference.
    take care,
    stewy.

Didn't know they'd been booed off - just saw MOTD and it looked ok, but thats sometimes the editing!!

3 sets of spark plugs today, some adjusted some not and still none seem to be working. The Bosch misfire all the time, the Champion when you put your foot down. Put the old ones back in after cleaning them up a bit and a bit of a misfire around 1500 rpm sometimes. Off to try another set of NGK's tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    chris,
i'm not trying to tell you how to suck eggs, but if you are putting plugs in without adjusting to the recommended gap, then you arn't actually putting plugs in really.
you may be better off just keeping the old ones, but clean and then gap them.they must be gapped.
failing that,if you are sure the plugs are right, then coil packs spring to mind.
    lots of pennies!!!
    take care,
    stewy.

Assuming the plugs are fitted correctly... all I can say is get genuine ones. Gapped and fitted correctly of course.

I would never trust a Bosch pattern part in my car, you only have to look at the problems the pattern Bosch MAFs have compared to the genuine ones.

Got some genuine plugs today - going to try them and see how things go. All playing with the car put on hold for today though, baby due tomorrow and looks like he's going to be very unlike me and be VERY punctual.
