Remote door key not working ???

Hi all,

My 2001 v6 4motion remote key has stopped working, been working fine, went out shopping locked the doors and when i came back the doors did not open ..

I have changed the batteries in the remote and still no luck.. Can anyone advise on what I can check myself before i take it to a dealer/garage?

Try resyncing the key, it will tell you how in the handbook.

I also have same problem, cant firgure it out at all, re-sysncing never helped either... any other ideas??

I have also had the same problem for a few weeks now. Both my keys have stopped working. It happened in the summer as well, but started to work again. I have been told that the wet weather can cause a short circuit somewhere, which messes with the remote central locking.
