What are people doing for bonfire night?

I'm spending BF night at a friends and having a bonfire in the back garden. Said friend has not long owend the house and is burning the remnants from the orevious ocupiers.

As well as the contents of the house, brother has done exactly the same and has 2 vans full of chip board and MDF

Another friend has been collating pallets since last year from his business

I thinks it's fair to say we'll ahve enough wood!!!

And as for the fireworks, we'll be poppong and banging till the eary hours

i think i suffer an acute form of SDS (seasonal depression syndrome)

i think it stems from having a birthday 10 days before christmas and many folk are too tied up with christmas to be bothered with a birthday. So i don't enjoy december. Good job that it is peak season at work, loads of overtime and good chances of saturday overtime too. this year has a bonus - a 4 day weekend. i'm quite prepared to go in to work on the saturday 27th but i was told we are off. plus they will only give us a half days work on the 24th. no chance of overtime then

I could quite happily be a member of an ethenic minority for december as they don't 'do' christmas either. do they?

    Ben,
Well a little cheer. It seems me, you and my pal Simon got a mention in the MMA magazine. It seems it has something to do with a thankyou from your goodself. Not seen it myself yet but thanks.

PS Mrs QV's birthday is just after Xmas, she agrees about the birthday thing. We do like Christmas at the QV's though. We have booked Xmas dinner at a pub/restaurant in Worsley.
