Well here we go....the start of a new project. I've just done what everyone tells you not to do and I've bought a crash damaged Audi 80 2.6 cabriolet. The car is 1995 (M plate) with 58,000 miles. It is an automatic and in good condition apart from a rear end accident (Category D).

My first look at the car since it was delivered last week revealed that it will need a new bumper and boot lid. However, I'm worried about chasis damage, especialy as both rear panels have dents in them, each side above the rear wheels.

Is it possible to get panel buckle like this from a rear end collision without bending the chasis legs?

If anyone feels like joining me (virtually) on my restoration journey then I'd appreciate the company.
