Ive got a mk4 golf with standed heaters does anybody no if climate control plug straight in as i would like to upgrade many thanks jamie.

just how hot is it down there?
i was hoping to fit a double heater,
or a two bar fire

Its a lot more complicated than that ! You need the wiring loom, climate control dash panel, the AC/new heater housing as it comes with all the necessary flaps and motors and a few more bits and bobs... Easy and cheap to sell yours and buy a factory fitted model with Climate Control.
