    Remove the outer blue cover and find pin 1,de pin and fit a new wire with contact (i posted the wire part number) run this to the earth point behind the dash inserts fitting position and fit eyelet connection to your wire and locate at the 10mm nut earth point.Or strip the wiring loom tape back from the blue connection and extend pin 1 wire to reach the earth point

    it aint a blue cover the plug is black 2 thick wires 1 2 and then when u remove black cover that hold 14 small pins the 1 an 2 stay in the cover i got the wire in case i needed it but the number 1 wire in plug is thicker i shoulh have took a pic ov the plug

    The light is tyre pressure monitor
    You need to remove the dash insert as it sounds like your trying to depin the steering column control unit,the blue plug is connected to the back of the dash insert
    I think you need to send me your vag com log and i will work your codes and adaptions for you

    thats it wrong plug iv got it all working dis nav menu etc and now ill get the washer off now i know proper plug how do i get the type presure off ?

    recheck your adaption channels which you have reset for dis,always turn the ignition off after changes then back on

    wrong plug dont play with that plug that's the steering column plug
    Take the dash panel out

    hi still a relative newbie to audi,now on my second A4 Avant sline after writing the first off in bad weather,my last a4 had Dis stalk fitted but new one dosen`t,i have sourced one from the original car but the guy who now has the car needs the one i have now,how simple is this job to carry out for a mechanical novice,also i noticed your pic link seems to be dead,any help or encouragement given would muchly be appreciated
