Hi All,

New to the forum just bought a 2002 Passat TDI SE 1.9 130

Had it a few months now, and has occured a problem.

The car started with a hesitation, I took it to my local garage as it needed a service 132'000 miles. Oil change and all the filters.

I went to pick it up, as I drove the car it had no power... no turbo ?
I then took the car back the next day in which they added the engine flushing oil.
I found out they did not do the service and then they carried this out in front of me while I waited.

The mechanic also advised there was a split in down hose from the turbo, which they "clamied to have changed" and also cleaned the EGR valve - black goo inside ?

The next day, I started the car - engine idle'ing very badly and lots of black smoke.

I changed the MAF sensor, this then improved the acceleration power but the other problems still persist ?

Black smoke,
VERY bad idle,
Very poor fuel consumption
Vibration on low revs upto about 3000rpm

I am going to check all the hoses later for and splits or incorrect connections.

I have just had and MOT after this and they told me the oil was slightly over the max mark, excessive oil ?

Can any one advise what may be wrong at all ?

Thanks
Ricky
