golf gti 8v hesitates on acceleration

Thanks mate for the info! can i do this with a shareware software? I have tried getting into engine 01 but keeps saying "no response from controller". Tried the abs cos my light is on and it found a fault on one of the sensors. Why cant i get into engine 01?do i need to buy a licence for that?

Yes you can do this with the shareware version as you are going into Measuring Blocks 08, not Basic Settings 04. If you can communicate with the ABS, you should be able to communicate with the engine ECU so you may have a VAG-COM settings issue or a problem with the factory fitted immobiliser as these can block engine communications. Try accessing “25 immobiliser”.
