Boot Light

07 Passat Sport,
Owned the car for 4/5 weeks & when I open the boot the light did not come on, I've removed the lamp holder to find that there is no wire connected to it I've removed the cover behind the R/h rear light and put my hand in the boot light hole and cannot find a wire anywhere, I'm assuming the lamp isn't for decoration. Please help.

I had the same problem, but when my car went in for a service, VW just re - wired the boot light. Take it to the dealer and they should do it for free
