Underrated cars

I saw one of these today for the first time in about a year, and since release I can imagine I can count the number I have seen on one hand!

I'm talking about this:



The Honda NSX



One of my childhood favourite cars.
Yes yes, I know they were expensive, but were one of the best handling cars on the road, fast as ****, look fantastic and reliable too!

How did this car not sell!!?? You can say all you like about the fact it's a 70k Honda, but what about the TOYOTA Supra or NISSAN Skyline? You see hundreds of those. And I know which I would have.
I just think its strange that badge snobbery alone cold stifle the sales of a brilliant car so much? Would it have sold in such few numbers if it had a Porsche or Ferarri badge slapped on it?

It just got me thinking of cars which never really got the praise or attention they deserved.

Any other suggestions?

the nsx is very underated, i love it and always wondered why they never sold, had a beautiful engine, gorgeous styling and brilliant handling, guess there are quite a few in rich peoples garages. even though they werent that expensive, i reckon like has been said, you think of a mid engined supercar, you think lamborghini not honda. shame, but they made it for years with harly any changes!!!

I can't remember the build figures for the NSX. Honda did not build that many. It is a good car and exclusive. I think it was pitched against the Ferrari 355. You had the performance and reliability, though I know without doubt which one I would have.

Is that a Venturi Atlantique? They are fantastic looking!
I know the NSX ws very costly to own (tyres needed replacing every couple of thousand miles), but surely, if you have the money in the 1st place to buy it, you can afford to run it.

i know it as the 400gt, i think the atlantique is the other one thats another blatant ferrari rip off, remember loving it on top gear then dug a bit and found youtube videos etc

You know, seeing that other pic of that car reminded me instantly of another very underrated car. Yes it's a Ferrari, but still, in my opinion one of the nicest, cleanest looking cars on the road. The 456.

And I've only ever seen one! And that was at the London Motor Show!

I quite like these, and are quite exclusive really. Maserati 4200 GT.



If I had a spare few quid, I'd buy this.
