    Hi All,

I am looking to get a new exhaust system for my A3, i have been to AMD and they can only supply an S3 exhaust which will cost in the region of £1400.
I wondered if there are any alternatives, ie. golf exhaust?
Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks
    JC

There is a full stainless Supersprint system that I may be able to get, if you are interested I will get you a price. The quality is simply fantastic.

The prices for the Supersprint system. These are all available ex stock except the tailpipe which isn't available until week 49, seven weeks! One idea though, I use the system on the Golf V6 4 Motion and I adapt the TT twin tailpipe to work (the system is the same) and it looks very good.

Yes, I can supply all you need. I did it to my business partners Golf 4 V6 4 Motion (which uses the same floorpan as an A3q and exactly the same Supersprint parts as yours requires) and it looks good, I have also done it to a Leon 2 Cupra. On the Golf 4, all I had to do was trim a small piece of metal off the rear apron under the bumper and cut two openings in the lower bumper trim which was from a non 4-M Golf. The rear bumper lower trim on an A3 of yours cars age is the same as a front wheel drive when purchased as a spare and Audi use the euphemistic description “adapt with workshop equipment” to make the exhaust cut out so I think you would need to buy a new one and cut two appropriate openings as the pipes are closer together. I have never done this to an A3q but I don’t see you having any problems. The lower trim (Audi call it a “spoiler”) is 8L0 807 521 F 3FZ and costs around £86 but I would not be able to do the cut outs for you unless I was fitting the system in my workshop.

These are the three tailpipes listed as being available.
