I noticed that the drop down sunglass holder that is above the rear vision mirror is not large enough to fit my Ray Bans.

I now put my sunglasses in the drivers side door compartment.

Has anyone else noticed this. Maybe I am not putting the sunglasses in the right way, or maybe I just need to buy a cheaper brand of sunglasses.

    Ditto,
It's miles too small and if you do squeeze them in it wont shut.
I've had to put them in the nice little holder in the glove box lid.
You can still easily reach them when driving.

Keys, thats where my keys get thrown.
Its like a baseball mitt. it catches whatever i throw in there for easy retrieval.

Ill never use these spaces to store anything. I hate anything in my car.

Ive got a mothercare boot liner and thats it. If I dont need the baby seat in the car it comes out and lives in the garage/or hallway or goes in the Mrs car. Nothing in the arm rest, Audi manual in the glovebox and certainly no sun glasses! Im I odd wanting to keep my car clutter free?

BTW the Mrs has a fancy pair of Gucci sunglasses with huge glass bits and they fit in her A3 holder but not in the the A4. Internal space seems about right but I think the opening and angle of close is different looking at it.

I guess the size of the holder is a problem for our Australian member who lives somewhere where they get the sun but given we dont really need sunglasses in the UK I guess we could keep some sweets in there.

I have solved how to eliminate noises coming the interior of our A4s.

I have the wife's sunglasses in the passenger side door slot, my sunglasses in the driver's side door slot, my daughters in the back door slot, mints in the centre console.

I can no longer hear any squeeks and rattles going over bumpy roads.

It took me a bit to work out how to fit my aviators in - Take the glasses off but put them in the way you were wearing them, facing up but lens away from you but with the arms tucked in under the lip.

Close the lid and you're done!

We had a bit of sun 'up north' yesterday and i found that the sunglasses holder makes a good sun visor flap. the sun was peeking through the gap between the roof and the rear view mirror, open the glasses holder and job done fills the gap a treat.

ahh so that's why it's not got the little flap like the B6/B7- you're meant to use the sunglasses holder instead

I was thinking the same thing just today, when taking the following photos of my Ray Bans trying to fit in the Sunglass holder.
