    can some one explain in laymans terms what it is , what it does, how much it costs ,and where to get it done

    its a way of reprogramming the cars ecu to alter the output of the car

    prices vary from 250 to 500

    various choices exist, Revo is a popular one , as is upsolute.

    and Jabbasport, who specialise in VAG.

    Essentially the plug a chip in the ECU (I think) and reprogrma all the things the car tells the engine to do, to refine fuelling, timing, boost, etc. It is "remapping" the computer effectively.
    Jason - Rather mad Skoda Fabia driver.... Odd whiff of diesel coming from him.

    Hi , I can recomend www.Chipboost.com - I took my gttdi 115 to him and he re-mapped it to 150+. Improved mpg and performance. Definate recommended mod!

    I do ECU remaps at a very good price. I have done Mark hurren's 2.0 tdi on here and he is bery happy. PM me if you want more details. I'm a chippedUK dealer adn have there full backing. Thanks Mark

    if your in the south east ie norwich? and hes in aberdeen , then thats a 10hour journey - hmmm
