    Hi everyone,

First post and it's a question if thats ok. Is there a Bosch specialist or someone who may know if the banjo bolt below is correct? It is the return pipe from the fuel pump on my VW T4 and I think the hole should be in the centre and larger.

Thanks for any help that you may be able to offer.

that looks right to me. its a pressure release valve to hold pressure within the pump. have you an issue to make you remove it and suspect theres a fault with it? there will be a metal gauze filter in there that can block so a good blast with brake cleaner is worthwhile before it goes back in.

    Thank you for that.

I have a rough running problem at higher revs and read that a plugged or restricted return pipe can cause this. Would there be a small gauze filter at the inlet banjo too? It's just that I have read that the return pipe doesn't normally have a filter, but that is only what I have found on the net.

theres not normally a filter on the inlet, just in the return banjo. have you put a new fuel filter in it recently? you could also have air getting into your fuel.
