    NO NO NO NO

go over to detailing world and search for no water car wash, you'll see what they think of it.

if you want a lovely swirly scratched car, by all means use the no water car wash, but don't ever use this if you care about your car!

theres options such as quick detailers like bigcol says, but IMHO you can't beat a good old mitt and bucket, you're going to have to use water properly sometimes theres just no getting around it

yeh i think im gonna bin my water drying blade.

pros; dries car eliminating any soapy residue left by water drying
cons; one tiny bit of grit on the blade and its bye bye immaculate paint job

hardly worth the bother of cleaning her if she is gonna have a big dirty scratch down the bonnet afterwards!!

Why don't you buy a cheap plastic bucket to wash the car down with and rinse off with a cheap plastic watering can, gets past any hose pipe bans. Give it a try, its cheaper than the local carwash!!

I live in a flat also. I have the cheap wash at my local valeter and then finish it all off myself.

Meguires Quick detailer is my best friend.

I believe (and you may wish to research this) that you can still wash your car with a hosepipe when they have a hosepipe ban. IIRC, the ban is for watering the garden and if the hose is to be used for cleaning something then the ban doesn't affect this.

After this summer, we'll not have a hosepipe ban.

Oh, wait. they'll probably try to impose one after coming up with a spurious reason such as the rain's falling in the wrong place
Nothing to see here, move along..
