    Suspect my convenience control module is playing up, the current module does look like it's been wet in the past so I've managed to get a s/hand one from a breakers....will it have to programmed to suit the car if so how much?

    Did this to mine,it will fit the car but the keyfob will not work you will have to lock the doors the old fashioned way with the key or pay to have it reprogrammed to fit the key

    If you have 2 keys you can program them yourself.
    It is in the manual of some cars but emitted on newer cars.
    I cant remember exactly so you may have to change instructions to work.
    1 key in the ignition (on).
    Drivers window down.
    Get out of the car and lock the door with the 2nd key and then press the key fob of key to be programmed and it should acknowledge with a flash or beep.
    And then quickly after press the other key fob.

    Also make shore the module is same part number as there are different ones.

    Cheers guys, just found out tonight that all my problems are actually down to broken wiring in the loom just as it go's of into the c/m, all the factory soldered joints have broke or nearly broke

    Going to start to fix them over the weekend, very poor design on VW part.
