    Default Steering Rack. – 15-10-2008,06:13 PM
    I finished fitting Coilovers to the VR6 today and whilst I was taking the driver's side front wheel off I noticed there was sidewards play. Then once I got the wheel off traced the play to the tie bar on the power steering rack. Does anybody know if this fixable or is it a new rack. I'm sure last time I looked the power steering racks were hellishly expensive and I know they're a pain to replace so if it's fixable it'd be bonus.

    Any advise greatfully received.

    hi fella,is the play in the track rod end ball joint or the rack it's self

    It's under the boot at the end of the rack.
