Hi, I own a golf gti 1.8 turbo 1999 Mk4. I disconnect my battery to recharge it. After that my key fob will not operate the central locking nor can I open or close any of my electric windows. The service manual shows a fuse relay called FR37 which feeds power to the circuit. The fuse FR37 is not located in the fuse box. Can anyone with a circuit diagram let me know where it can be located?

Also I have been told you have to reset the central locking and windows after a low battery . Can anyone explain the sequence.

Id be interested in this too! I went to lock my golf last night, and the alarm went heywire. Now I can only lock with the key itself, kefobs dont work, neither to the windows or central locking buttons. I thought it might be something to do with the fuses, arent there some inside the engine bay itself?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Any body know anything about this? My wife's 2002 Golf GT Tdi is doing the same thing. No key-fob central locking, no interior front lights, no door lights and no electric windows. Any ideas???

Checked fuse box again and found 10amp fuse had blown. Missed it first time round. Windows, central locking, alarm and internal light all working ok plus key fob.

All my fuses were ok, turns out it was a loose wire behind the fuses. Seems its very easy to push the wires behind the fuses out of place when changing them. This one had come loose, even though I hadnt touched the fuses in ages. Also seems that if any one of the fuses/functions connected with the comfort module (interior lights, windows, keyfob locking etc) blows, it all goes t*ts up at once. Does make sense, but a real pain!
