    Hello all,

Sorry as I am sure this comes up a lot but I cannot get my phonebook from my phone to my car phonebook. I have just bought my lovely A4 Sline 2.0TDI. It is a 57 plate and has the satnav and phone prep stuff. My phone is a LG Viewty and connects with the Bluetooth fine. Everything works fine on calling and taking calls just can't download my phonebook.

From reading the manual it says when you turn the car on the tel option will show please wait as it syncs with your phones phonebook. It does this and says please wait but does not have anything in the car phonebook.

I am guessing it is just that my phone is to new to be supported but on the off chance is there anyway to get my phonebook into the car?

Does it matter where the numbers are saved on the phone?

EG on the sim card or or the phone?

I'm sure i read somewhere about bluetooth car kits connecting with the wrong memory, and therefor showing a blannk phonebook.

    Good luck

    Hi,

I have the same problem with my viewty, I ended up just imputing my common numbers in the cars phonebook so they are voice operated, which is long winded sitting there speaking names and numbers

Phone boo khas to be in the sim card

early phones tended not to have FULL bluetooth operation and did not transmit the phone book, should not be a problem with modern phones.

Wife has a viewty I will try it on mine

Thanks ian. I have tried putting my phonebook onto the sim and it still doesn't seem to work. Once you have tried it let me know how it goes.
