    Hi All

I have a 2002 reg 2.7T allroad multitronic which today has added to its list of irritants (see - the wheel vibration posts for an idea!) by deciding to go backwards reaaaaaally slowly - i.e you select R and then have to apply a fair amount of throttle for it to go backwards. Forwards, currently, is fine but its like it has a slipping clutch. Just had the ATF changed at 86K by a specialist and whilst it is under a (dubious) warranty I wanted to check before I ring the crap warranty company if anyone has an idea so I can avoid yet another 'thats not covered' discussion!

    Cheers
    Sean

Might worth checking if your specialist put enough oil and whether they Gearbox ECU was tuned (VAG COM) whilst puting in the ATF fluid. I maybe wrong but I think once the new ATF is in, some further works needs to be done so that ECU (GBOX) "learns" itself again.
Maybe a few of the forumites can confirm this?

I had this problem on a car recently, turned out to be a cracked casing for one of the clutch packs inside the gearbox. Ended up replacing the gearbos due to the damage it caused.

Hi - engine oil was fine and no faults showed up on the VAG computer system so it is back in now for a warranty investigation - will wait and see... thanks anyway
