    Hello all

About a year ago I gave away my trusty Toyota Carina II (1.6 petrol, F reg 1988) of 13 years for a new car with a few good features. So I got a VW Passat TDi 1.9 Y reg new shape.

What a mistake, since I have had the car there has been none stop problems. I now turn to you for help to save me some money. I have only been using the VW dealer ship and my last problem a Turbo Hose Pipe cost me £400 +.

My main problem now is the indicator does not flash, it flashes once then nothing but the indicator stick is still in posiotion. Hazard lights work fine. Even more strange is that this morning instead of flashing once the light just stays on like in the old American cars.

I have googled my problem and some one mentioned the relay switch.

    Please help, much appreciated.

ps: I want my Toyota back.

I'm experiencing a very similair problem - ie a sticky indicator light. It flashes either erratically, constant on or constant off.

Is this problem likely to be 'user serviceable' ?

    Thanks,

Note; if your wondering why, the hazard switch contains the indicator relay.

Just clicking on the 'scales of justice' on the forum member details window at the side of the screen gives that forum member a credit of thanks for all to see in future.
