Finally back in an Audi! (Father in law inflicted a Saab 9-5 on us - dreadful car)
Picked up an A4 Quattro 2.0tdi 170 with a lots of petty niggles - reflected in the price.
Most sorted and she's going well - usually
Sometimes throws EML and glowplug light and occasionally a Limp home as well.
    Codes are P145E Mass air flow, p1261 Injector 1 and p1267 injector 3, p 0401 EGR and p0299 Underboost.
    All intermittent.
They are all sort of related but its noit clear whether the intermiittent is because they are a randomly timed fault or whether it happens in particular conditions.
Fault repeats 5 times to be registered..
Intermittent screams electrical, but if it is the above then its another fault. If i reset the Limp Home mode while moving it immediately returns to normal (probably dangerous)
Any suggestions where to start ruling things out as the cause? I changed the EGR with no effect.

Old thread now, but not sure if it's related, but this engine had an Audi recall on 4 new injectors and a wiring loom a few years back, had mine done nearly 10 years ago now. Still might be worth checking if the car had the recall completed?

Have some story in mind I read on a forum no doubt about a VOSA guy driving down the motorway and his car cut out, he pulled Audi in to sort out the issue which resulted in a recall on this engine and it's injectors/wiring loom?

I am assuming this is a BRD code engine? It is impossible to find reliable reconditioned injectors (from painful experience) or new from Continental Siemens VDO and they have been on back order with VAG UK for months. Over the last year we have seen one A3 8P and two Golf 5’s with the BMN engine (this uses the same injector) go to the breakers because of this.
