4 beeps!

Hi,

Very occasionally just after starting my 03 plate pd130 there are 4 short quick(ish) beeps which appear to come from behind me in the car.

There are no warning lights illuminated and nothing appears to be going wrong (famous last words!)

It has only just started doing this in the last 2-3 months.

Any ideas????

I have encountered the same four beeps in my 52 plate A6 2.5 TDI. I was very puzzled as to what beeping sound meant. Sometimes it happened when just a few seconds after the car was started - sometimes it didn't happen at all. However, it has since stopped beeping - I didn't have any work done on the car and I didn't find any problems - it just stopped all by itself.

Sorry I haven't been able to offer an explanation, but hopefully it is not a sign of a costly problem.

The location on the A6 should be the same!
