2.0 tdi 140 Manual.

He did indicate that for some models they have had major delays....i.e. order june delayed till march

But not the 2.0 tdi.

Mine's a 1.8 tfsi dsg and at various times, supply problems have been mentioned online for both that engine and gearbox (it's the new 7-speed).

Anyway, good luck - I hope you get yours in time for the holiday

I've ordered exactly the same combo of engine and gearbox. Dealer just blamed high demand for the delay.

Mine has gone from October to December delivery. Hopefully it wont slip any further!

I've negotiated a 'loan' car from the dealer to bridge the delay so any further slips will cost them and not me.

Hope you get something nice to tide you over! A member of the family is buying my current car when the new one arrives so I didn't have any reason to try the same tactic .......

Another potential cause of slippage in delivery dates is the number of options you might have ticked when ordering. A highly specced vehicle can take significantly longer to produce - something to do with Audi only confirming a build week when they're sure that all the components for a car will be available.

In total it looks as though your wait will be about the same as mine

Another update from the Dealer......buildweek has come down again.

Should definately have it by the end of November.

Maybe people are cancelling their orders due to the financial crisis?

I must say, if I'd known what was going to happen to the economy I'd have held off ordering until next year.

Mine's now "Awaiting Shipment". Hopefully, that means it's already at the docks, rather than still waiting to leave the factory

Just thought I'd update this thread. I'm picking up the new car tomorrow

It arrived at the dealer's on Monday of this week, two weeks to the day after the button was pressed for production to begin. Obviously, once the build process begins Audi doesn't hang about and the production updates via my dealer were quite exciting.

I could have collected it yesterday but decided that a Saturday collection would give me more time to enjoy/play/twiddle/poke and prod. Oh, and maybe even drive .....
