    Hi Guys,

I've done a search on this, but can't see much.

I've just been debadging the Passat, had the engine still on (was going to be a quick 2 min job while popping home), so I notice the reverse light on (i'm in nuetral obviously).

VW had the car yesterday fixing my 2nd gear crunch. Could they have disturbed something in this area? I'm a bit puzzled as I would almost expect it to be the opposite way around - light not working at all maybe?

I can go back to VW, but not until the weekend, so thought I would ask here and maybe save a trip. I've slipped the reverse bulb out of the light casing for now. Appreciate it's looking like taking the car back to them, but thought I would ask anyway.
    Cheers.

It is possible they have inadvertantly damaged the reverse light switch ?

Not sure just thought it may be worth a look . I am not even aware how the lamp is brought on , on these cars soory chap.

Hi mate, thanks for the reply and suggestion - it could be, I suppose.
I did try searching, but most peoples problems are with the light not going on. A couple of other searches mention Golfs and the reverse light switch on the gearbox, but nothing that takes it further. Seems too much of a coincidence with them in at the gearbox.
    Guess it's back to VW.
Thanks again for the reply anyway.

If it was all right when you took it in, it must be their fault.
