    Hi there.

I have an A4 2.0 TDi S Line Avant 2007. The car has the Audi concert CD system fitted as standard. How easy is it fit a Dension Ipod car kit. What tools do you need to remove the head unit and is it easy enough to fit. Was thinking about doing the job myself. Is there anyone out there that has done this job themself.

    Cheers

Easy to do. You just need some head unit removal keys (x4) get these from Ebay, Halfords or your Audi dealer.

I'd recommend the xcarlink. It comes with 2 removal keys which is all you need for the Concert I think (you need 4 for the Symphony as I discovered!) but it works a treat, very pleased I chose it.

You'll need 4 removal keys for a 07 Concert as it is a doule DIN unit.

That'll teach me not to stray over from the B6 section

I was still able to get my unit out with the 2 keys + 2 that I fashioned from an old hack saw blade with insulating tape wrapped round then ends. Maybe if your car is only 1 year old you wont want to be poking hacksaw blades in the dash though

Thanks to all that replied. I'll get the removal keys from Halfords and give it a try over the weekend.

    Hi,
How did you get on fitting the dension. I am going to attempt this soon and wondered how difficult it was. I am assuming that the glovebox will need to be removed etc. Any tips appreciated..........

    Thanks
    Mike

Upgrading what? Your current stereo? Or just adding an Ipod adapter?

Plenty of ipod adapters about from Audi, Dension, the xcarlink etc etc. All are simple to fit into your car.
