all electric windows stopped working

hi there,

All the interior electrics on my 94 tdi golf mark 3 decided to stop working the other day. the windows and electric mirrors are all dead.

any ideas?

Check the loom for damage inside the rubber gaitor that runs in between the body and door.

yeah i tried that. all the wires are fine.

im completely stumped

Might sound patronising but have you checked the fuse?

Check fuses 14 and 43

Hi... from what you say, it would appear to be either a common fuse, or loss of an earth return. Can you check from one of the interior non functioning circuits (i.e a light) to earth using an multimeter... if a good earth exists it will show as zero ohms resistence.
