  1. How can I find out what power my engine is (2.5 TDi)?

    I've just bought a 2.5TDi 2002 A6 SE Avant.

It doesn't say in any of the documentation if its a 150/163/180 (I am assuming not a 180 as they would have made a big thing of it selling it!)

Can I tell from the engine number?

    Thanks

you should have a sticker in you service book, and the same sticker will be in the boot
under the lining. the power is shown on there,in KW. multiply by 1.35 to give you hp.

that engine code,AYM, will be on the sticker you found, before the KW figure.
after that, you will have all the "option codes",you can find them on this forum, relating to "extras" asked for at first purchase.
    hope it's going well,
    regards,
    stewy.

Cheers, all adds up, AYM code in the handbook, and put all the options through the decoder and everything seems to match up!
