can anyone tell me if they have done it or know someone who has or knows how to change the wiring looms on a 2002 Bora for a new climate control unit instead of old fashioned dials?

old fashioned dials? are you sure you actually have climate control? climate control, as far as i am aware, every car that had climate control in the mk4 range had the electronic controls fitted too, if you've got the old 'dials' as you say, id suspect you dont have climate control? any chance you could take a picture and post, also, what model is your bora?

I have a 2002 Bora S TDI. The existing unit has 3 dials - temp, power (1,2,3,4) and vent selection. Below this I have two Buttons, Air-con and re-circulate.
My rear demister is located up on dash by hazard button.
I have just accumilated a climatronic unit and was wondering if the wiring could be changed to accomodate it. I know it can be done but do not know how involved it would be.
    Cheers

I can imagine to achieve this in a newer car you will end up rewiring the whole cabin. Would be easier to sell the car and get one with climate control already.

Your bora has air con, not climate control...."old fashioned dials" lol! I am unsure what steps need to be undertaken to convert it to accept the climatronic unit etc.

nooooo thats not what everyone is saying mate, you dnt have the facility for climate control. you have air con and standard heating, thats it, for climate control youll have to rewire soooo much of your car, im guessing is achievable but for the money youd pay.... why not get something else done on the car.
