    Default Polo 1.4TDI (Year 2000) CD Changer query – 01-02-2007,06:20 PM
    I have recently purchased a Polo 1.4TDI (Year 2000) and has got the factory fitted audio system installed. I am looking to install a CD changer into the boot where the firt aid box goes. After looking on a few web sites I have found a possible suitable CD changer. It says on the website that the leads required to connect it to the head unit are beind the lining in the boot. I have found what looks like a 12 pin adapter and a blue cable that go into a black box. Is this the necassary leads?? as the Polo's user mannual says nothing other than go to your local dealer for a "ridiculous quote."

    Be careful when fitting after market Audio equipment to VW's if you go on the Ross-Tech site you will see VW use the harness for diagnostics and if not fitted correctly they can cause problems . Tony
