is it worth getting my a3 2.0 fsi chipped/re-mapped? the performance figures say and increase of around 10 bhp, is it worth the £300 price tag, or is it only worth it, if i had a turbo?
what notices did you find on ur cars?

    thanks.

£300 for 10bhp it's your money, but personally i wouldn't bother. I don't think you even be bale to feel the differrence other than your pocket being £300 quid lighter.

i know, to really feel a difference id have to get a full exhaust system, performance air filter n the remap. but that will all be around £1000 for 20 maybe 30bhp, i think il wait till i get a turbo'd car

sensible mate, you could throw a fortune at a non-turbo and still not make much in the way of gains, ECU , computers all mean that the car tends to fight back against any irregularities meaning no power gain just more fuel used at least that's my experience. If you want more power and still want to keep the car find a turbo engine you want with all the extra , ecu loom and have it re-lumped. if your not doing it yourself though it may cost more than a replacement car

yea, when i first had it, it felt fairly nippy, but its really slow now, have looked at a turbo kit but for £3000 ish quid and possibility of ruining the engine! id leave it!
