my car had its MOT yesterday and as you guessed, it failed. Nothing too serious just the odd ware and tear problems.

I am hoping someone can help me here as I am none too good with electrics. One of the reasons it failed was the ABS warning light did not illuminate, I dont know where to start looking.

Another problem is the front fog/driving lamps come on when the rear fog lamp are turned on. I didnt see the problem with this but hey it was a reason to fail.

If any one can help out with advice or solutions I would be very greatful.

    Regards
    Simon

    Hi,

Does the ABS system work as it should? If so, it may jus be a blown bulb in the instrument cluster? If not, the ABS relay may be at fault?

My foglights are the same as yours, they were on my other coupe too. I thought this was a standard feature?

No doubt the previous owner disabled the warning light to enable him to sell you the car, it is very common sharp practice. I would expect you to find the warning light disconnected and then you will need a fault code read but these cars require the earlier so called “2x2” to 16 pin adapter to allow the fault codes to be read.
