TDI dump valve????

is it possible to get some sort of wastegate or dump valve for a mk 5 TDI???

i've searched on the net but all i can find is BOV's for older diesels and 1.8T diverter valves.

can anybody enlighten me?

Why you want to add that? There will already be a wastegate on the turbo, and a recirculating dump valve in the system.

just wondered whether it could be upgraded so it made more of a noise, i've heard plenty of TDI's with a more noticable sound

Someone probably does make one, bit chavvy though dont you think? Many VAG cars dont respond well to external dump valves. They are often a source or running/idling faults. It could cause you problems and actaully lose you power. Even it didnt lose you any it would not gain you any either.

well, thats what i was trying to clear up actually, i mean i've read that vw use re-circulating devices so surely if its making a noise it can't be.

oh well, mines getting re-mapped from 103 to 155 BHP tomorrow, that will probably be my only modification.
