I thought it stood for Continuously Variable Transmission?

    But yes, this is Multitronic

Dont buy it though unless its got a 7-plate clutch fitted, the earlier versions are very well known to be total rubbish and need to have a 7-plate clutch conversion & other work doing to them normally after the warranty has expired & often at great cost to the owner!
'53 Smart Roadster Coupe - So much fun, so little cost to run!!

'03 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H - Currently off the road due to binning it on the M1!

'02 A4 3.0 Quattro Sport - Gone but missed daily!

I've recently went to service to fix the 6-gear multitronic gearbox. My car was juddering in low speed when accelerating. Mechanic changed something in the inside and I cant tell what that is but it looks like some kind of rings with aproximately 5 inch radius and it has cogs on inner side. I can see that gearbox still have 6 gears, nothing changed. Can I find out did he put 7-plate clutch or he changed some completely other part? I've noticed that there was whole bunch of that rings maybe 10 or I'm wrong?
