Anyone know which models get what exhaust arrangement?

Are the petrol turbos 1 each side or twin like the TDis?

The 1.8 litre petrol is twin exhaust on one side, like the 2.0tdi. And the 2.0 litre and up is twin, one on each side.

From what I've read all the V4 (2.0 TDi etc) engines have twin pipes on the left (chromed on the S-Line) and the V6 (2.7 TDi, 2.0 TFSI etc) engines have split pipes, one on each side.

All 4 Cylinder versions have twin exhausts on the left so that includes the 2.0TFSI. 2.0TDI also has the same layout. 2.7 and above have one exhaust either side.

    I think !!

On the old model Audi put exhausts either side on the 2.0TDi 170bhp, you never know they may do it again but annoyingly they never seem to mention it in the brochures.

Does it make a difference whether S-Line or Avant? I have seen virutally all combo's on the B6 and B7, but I know 2.0Tdi is twin left side, and 3.2Fsi is one each side.

Can anyone confirm for 2.0TFSi 170+211Bhp? I hope it is one each side!!

BTW - They have 4 cyl inline, not V4 - Only seen those on motor bikes and the Mk1 Capri

all of the 4 cylinder models in the B8 (including both variants of 2.0 TSFI ) have twin exhausts to one side like the 2.0 tdi according to dealers (and audi's german web site which seems to be a lot more accurate in the details than audi's uk site)

I want to believe that too - less convinced becuase it was an Avant, and also it is an SE with Xenon headlamps - maybe that will be another difference between UK & Germany?
