How or where did you get the arches flared?

Sorry I can't help with the lowering bit.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Interesting that they were already on the car, I was just curious really because I have an S6 and the arches are aluminium of course, whereas I understand that the A6 V8 had steel ones.

I'm selling my S6 as I need a diesel now but am still considering getting another A6 as I like the size, etc. It would be good to be able to flare the arches on one though because, as you know, it looks so much better.

    Hi
If I knew how to i would send you a pic, but both front and rear arches are larger than normal .
Got the lowering kinda sorted, gona go for bilstein B14's coilovers, ( £740 ) they seem to be able to do the job.
Ride hight rear is now 65cm with 235/35/19's and i want it down to 61 ish.
There aint much available for a 4.2 quattro

Sounds excellent, good luck with the Bilsteins, they're definitely the best from what I've heard.

    Thanks 4 that m8
Just scoped yours out on piston heads, it looks the real deal.
My arches look the same as yours.
Do me a favour come back with what size your 19" zero's are and if you could measure the arch to ground height front and rear

    thanks

    Hi Moesie,

The tyres are 255/35 ZR19 and I highly recommend these P- Zeroes over anything else.

Front arch is 67.5cm (maybe 68 if the tyre had a bit more pressure in it)
    Rear arch is 69cm.

Looks like someone's going to have an RS6 lookalike very soon!

    Cheers,

    Tony

    Hi
i used to run 255/45/18's, but when i went up to 19's my tyre guy said that 255 would rub on the front, so i went with 235/35/19's, but i miss the look of the 255's from that back view.
with a quattro its all down to those front tyres and what you can get away with, i will chase him up again re the 255's as i miss them so much.
The new B14's when fitted might have some say with reguard to 255's.
I will try and work out how to send you a picture of the laddo.

thanks for your time and trouble Tony
