    Hi All,

This is something that has been covered quite a bit and I know hoju and hotchip have posted plenty on it but I just wanted to check some things:

Here goes - idiots guide required for 1 idiot picking up B8 on Friday!

Being a numpty you will have to take it s l o w....

I have some CD's that I have chucked on to my PC using Realplayer and the files are all sat on the hard drive in MP3 format.

Can I simply create a list of artist folders on the top level and then within each artist folder add an album folder and drag and drop all the files from that particular album into the correct folder!?!

I want to be very ready with my music!

That's spooky I was just about to browse the forum for the same info as I have just prepared a 2GB SD card for the same reason.

I have managed to get 27 albums on one SD card. I have seen the post's regarding the 4GB cards however when I ordered one my laptop's refused to recognise the card, i have just ended up with 2 2GB cards instead, I have ordered AMI as well so I should not be short of music............

I agree with 2.7. Why should we lose the SD slot for having invested in the SAT/NAV system, seems crazy to me?
6 CDs are not a match for a SD card.
Just for interest sake, where is the slot on a car without SAT/NAV?

The card slot is to the bottom left of the MMI control and its surrounding corner buttons between there and the left buttons for MMI selection that include radio and SD/CD.

What formats can the car system read? mp3, MPEG-4 Audio?

Can I drag the files from my iTunes folder onto the card?

From memory (as I don't have the radio manual to hand) its mp3 or wma.

I use mp3 dragged straight from my iTunes library.
My mp3's also are vbr and that works fine.
